One of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss offers a truly unique perspective. When conditions allow, you can walk behind the cascading water and experience the waterfall from a completely different angle.

Gljúfrabúi
Hidden inside a narrow canyon near Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi is one of the South Coast’s more secluded waterfalls. Depending on weather and conditions, you can walk into the canyon and experience the dramatic waterfall surrounded by towering rock walls.

Skógafoss
Skógafoss is one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls, where powerful glacial water plunges 60 metres over the cliffs. On sunny days, the mist often creates beautiful rainbows, adding to the spectacular scenery.

Sólheimajökull Glacier Viewpoint
Take a short walk to a scenic viewpoint overlooking Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull. Enjoy impressive views of the ice and surrounding mountains while your guide shares insights into Iceland’s glaciers, geology, and the forces shaping this ever-changing landscape.

When conditions allow, you can walk behind the cascading water and experience the waterfall from a completely different perspective. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and beautiful scenery, it’s a memorable stop on Iceland’s South Coast.

GljúfrabúiWaterfall

Hidden inside a narrow canyon near Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi feels like a secret tucked into the landscape. Depending on weather and conditions, you can walk into the canyon and get close to the falling water, surrounded by towering rock walls.

SkogafossWaterfall

Skógafoss is one of Iceland’s most impressive waterfalls, with powerful glacial water plunging 60 metres over the cliffs. On sunny days, the spray often creates beautiful rainbows, adding an extra touch of magic to this spectacular natural landmark.

SólheimajökullGlacier Viewpoint

What is the weater going to be like?

Iceland’s weather is famously unpredictable, and you can experience all four seasons in a single day. Be prepared for sudden changes, dress in layers, and carry waterproof gear as rain and wind are common. Check regional forecasts and make sure you bring the right clothes for an enjoyable visit.

Is there a stop for food?

There is plenty of food stops on this trip. About 1.5 hour from Reykjavík, we’ll make a quick pit stop at Hvolsvöllur. It’s a chance to grab some on-the-go food. At the mesmerizing Seljalandsfoss waterfall, you can enjoy coffee and pastries and at the Black Sand Beach you’ll have time for a leisurely lunch. 

Can the itinerary for the tour change?
