 Verified The Golden Circle tour is worth your time and money All the stops on this Golden Circle tour were worth the time. The kids especially enjoyed the Laugarás Lagoon while the adults were very impressed with the Golden Waterfalls and the Tomato Farm.

 Verified Wonderful day trip! Our guide Einur (...sorry I'm not 100% on the spelling!) was fantastic! He was fun (and funny!), knowledgeable (as one would expect from a local), an excellent driver, and very helpful. Since there were only 6 of us in total on this trip, he gave us some tips on doing a little extra at some of the stops as we had a bit more time than if we'd been a larger group. He took some photos for us at the greenhouse, and I got to entertain him with explaining why someone from Hawaiʻi would get a degree in Scandinavian studies! The Laugarás Lagoon was amazing. The sodas they make there with herbs they pick locally are delicious. 10/10, would highly recommend to anyone, and would happily do it again some day!

  Einar was fantastic. The day tour was perfectly paced and finished at a wonderfully quiet lagoon. No Instagram influencers, no crowds posing for photos everywhere—just a peaceful experience. Loved the trip.

 Verified Fun day Great trip, grab a friend or two and venture out to the trail. Had an option of a guided hike, or a walk on your own. Was more than enough time for a full circle around and a dip in the hot springs (or a picnic).

 Verified Fantastic Tour and Guide Great tour and a fantastic guide (Einar Þór Samúelsson) was very knowledgeable and helpful, I highly recommend you check it out.  Verified Kerid Crater & Geiser's in the Golden Circle You cannot miss either of these. The crater was beautiful.  A trip thru the Golden Circle will leave you breathless.  The waterfalls rival Niagara Falls.   The geisers were fantastic.

What is the weater going to be like?

Iceland’s weather is famously unpredictable, and you can experience all four seasons in a single day. Be prepared for sudden changes, dress in layers, and carry waterproof gear as rain and wind are common. Check regional forecasts and make sure you bring the right clothes for an enjoyable visit.

What should I wear on a glacier trip?

Dressing appropriately for a glacier hike in Iceland is vital for comfort and safety due to the ever-changing weather. Here’s a condensed guide on what to wear:

Base Layers:
Choose a lightweight, moisture-wicking base layer like a long-sleeved shirt or thermal shirt.
Mid Layers:
Add an insulating layer, such as a fleece jacket or light sweater, over the base layer. Consider a light mid-layer in milder conditions.
Outer Layer:
Opt for a waterproof and windproof jacket as the outermost layer. In less extreme weather, a packable shell jacket can suffice.
Bottoms:
Avoid jeans, opting for lightweight hiking pants or trousers. Windproof and waterproof pants are optional, depending on the forecast.
Footwear:

Is there a stop for food?

In the morning, approximately 1.5 hours from Reykjavík, we’ll have a brief break at Hvolsvöllur. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase snacks. On our return journey to Reykjavík, we make a short stop at the picturesque Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you also can grab some coffee, hot chocolate and pastries.

Are hiking poles necessary?

Hiking poles are not necessary for this tour. The tour guide will provide you with all safety equipment for the glacier hike.

Do I need some insurance?

Travel insurance is highly recommended for your Iceland trip. It provides coverage for medical emergencies, trip interruptions, lost baggage, and adventure activities. It’s a wise safety net for peace of mind during your journey.
