This private Ice Cave tour departs from Vík in South Iceland, and is perfect for those who are traveling by themselves and are in the area.
We take you to Katla glacier, which is a tongue, a flow of ice that comes from Mýrdals glacier, Icelands forth largest glacier.
We want to spend some time here, not just take you there for a 30 minute stop. We go out of our way to ensure you get what you pay for, meaning we will spend at least 90 minutes here, explore more than one cave if possible and also hike around on the glacier.
We also visit Hjörleifshöfði, on the coast, taking back roads and rough tracks, drive on the beach and having fun making this also a real Super Jeep experience.
The area itself is fascinating, raw nature at its best, proper movie making landscapes.

After our time on the glacier we head south towards the coast to a place called Hjorleifshofdi. This is actually a massive rocky outcrop that used to be an island in the ocean, but that all changed when the Katla volcano erupted in 1918.
This place is full of great history and we love to tell you the stories of old, of the first settler that came ashore here. We also visit the Hjorleifshofdi Cave, commonly known as the Yoda Cave.
An last but certainly no least we drive towards the ocean, to a deserted black sand beach away from the crowds.
