It’s always a good idea to check the local weather forecast before heading out and adjust your gear accordingly. Additionally, be mindful that conditions can change quickly, so it’s wise to carry some extra layers or gear in your backpack just in case.
We process all payments in Icelandic króna (ISK). Prices in your currency might vary slightly depending on the conversion rate set by your card issuer.
G&W is not responsible for currency changes between different currencies.
Travel insurance is always a good idea. We recommend that you have personal health insurance coverage when participating in any adventure activities in Iceland, as you would when travelling anywhere in the world.
Icelands weather is unpredictable at all times of the year. Make sure to bring warm clothes and waterproofs. Layers are important, as well as good shoes. Jeans, mini skirts high heels or trainers are not going to work.
We recommend bringing your own backpack on our tours. It’s great to carry a small lunch and some extra clothing.
The standard in Iceland is 230V and 50Hz and we use F-type power sockets and plugs, so you might have to bring an adaptor if you are visiting from UK, USA, Canada or other countries using a different voltage, Hz or plugs
