If your tour with Glaciers and Waterfalls is canceled due to weather or any other unforeseen event beyond our control, you can trust that you will receive a full refund of the tour cost.
Iceland’s weather is famously unpredictable, and cancellations may occur due to safety concerns or road closures. While we strive to conduct every tour, your safety is our priority.
Please ensure you provide us with accurate contact details (phone and/or email) for timely communication regarding cancellations and potential rescheduling.
In all cancellation scenarios, Glaciers and Waterfalls will make every effort to reschedule your tour or provide a suitable alternative as our primary course of action.
Defined as unforeseeable circumstances preventing the fulfillment of a contract beyond reasonable control, Glaciers and Waterfalls reserves the right to suspend or terminate obligations when certain events arise, rendering performance impracticable, illegal, or impossible.
Such circumstances include, but are not limited to: War, riots, fire, flood, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake, volcanic eruptions, lightning, rock slide, explosion, strikes, lockouts, slowdowns, pandemics, epidemics, public health concerns, travel restrictions, terrorism, energy shortages, and governmental actions.
In a Force Majeure event, Glaciers and Waterfalls won’t be liable for refunds, superseding other cancellation policies. Nonetheless, we’ll strive to rearrange or reschedule bookings whenever feasible.
We strongly advise travelers to secure comprehensive travel insurance covering Force Majeure and all contingencies for international travel.
All communications regarding these terms and conditions, including requests to cancel or amend tour arrangements, must originate from the lead traveler of each reservation and be sent via email to info@glaciers.is to be considered valid. Amendments or cancellations must be confirmed by Glaciers and Waterfalls before further action can be taken.
Reimbursements, if applicable, will be processed within 7 working days according to established procedures. The refunded amount will be credited back to the original credit card used for the tour purchase. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any delays or additional transaction fees incurred after the reimbursement has been processed.
All bookings for scheduled tours operated by Glaciers and Waterfalls require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellation to receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made after this time will not be refunded. We will make every effort to reschedule you for a new trip departure, if possible.

If you have only paid a deposit when the cancellation request is received please note that the cancellation fee is based on the full tour price and not a percentage of the deposit amount.
